Sensory Processing Solutions
Sensory Processing Solutions provides assessment, intervention and training for sensory processing difficulties that underlies a variety of difficulties that your child might experience:

-
Sensory processing difficulties: Everyone has sensory preferences, i.e. sensory stimuli that they like or dislike but it only becomes a problem when it interferes with daily functioning for example sensitivity to sound, certain textures of clothes, certain textures of food; brushing teeth, washing and cutting hair being a struggle; bumping into objects, fidgeting and struggling to pay attention.
-
Gross motor difficulties: Balance; coordination; catching, throwing and kicking balls; riding a bicycle; sitting slouched; appearing clumsy.
-
Fine motor difficulties: Handwriting; scissor skills; functional tasks such as doing buttons, zips, laces.
-
Emotional-regulation: Regulating emotions and behaviour associated with self-regulation difficulties.

Your child might already have a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD, Developmental coordination Disorder / dyspraxia or Sensory Processing difficulties. However a diagnosis is not needed in order to benefit from Occupational Therapy as the focus will be on addressing the areas your child struggles with whatever the diagnosis.
